L’atlas du monde vivant est le projet d’une vie durant laquelle nous recensons la beauté de ce qui nous entoure : faune et flore sauvage, paysages, personnages… Ces thèmes s’incarnent au travers de céramiques bleues peintes à la main, inspirées des azulejos de la péninsule ibérique et posées dans la ville pour réparer ses failles. Chaque pavé est pensé en lien avec son environnement local.
Dans la série de la flore sauvage, on trouve les plantes basses qui poussent dans les fissures des trottoirs et tapissent le sol, les arbustes abritant les animaux sauvages, les grands arbres qui structurent nos sols, nous apportent ombre, fraîcheur, oxygène et toutes sortes d’autres plantes qui, immobiles, attirent notre attention sur la beauté du monde vivant.
The atlas of the living world is the project of a lifetime during which we collect the beauty of what surrounds us: wild fauna and flora, landscapes, characters… These themes are embodied through hand-painted blue ceramics, inspired by azulejos of the Iberian Peninsula and placed in the cities to repair its cracks. Each tile is designed in relation to its local environment.
In the series of wild flora, we find low plants that grow in the cracks of the sidewalks, shrubs sheltering wild animals, large trees that structure our soils, bring us shade, freshness, oxygen and all kinds of other plants that, still, draw our attention to the beauty of the living world.
